Who would’ve thought that we’d be where we are now?
Having survived what life threw at us,
Having been the only encouragement for ourselves.
Oh, but how fast time flies,
And how slowly one learns as they find ways through the obstacles that are gifted to us as learning curves,
Because who wouldn’t rather ‘just be there’?
And that’s just where our problems lie,
The machinations sought to speed us forward will all but fail to steal from us in hindsight.
